I refuse to lose me another day,
Hour by hour I sit here wondering,
Minute by minute life goes on,
Second by second I’m dying inside.
I take a hit and wonder why?
Why do I keep on, keepin’ on?
On the corner I stand,
Hoping, praying for just one more.
Here he comes, will he stop?
Oh, God I hope so!
“What’s your price?” he asks,
“What you got?” I ask
That’s the life of an addict,
Second by second I get quieter,
Minute by minute it gets easier,
Hour by hour I get stronger,
Until today I refuse to lose me!
